At Mendoza Makeup, hygiene and safety are treated as essential professional practices — not optional extras. All services are performed using industry-standard sanitation protocols designed to protect clients, artists, and the integrity of the work.
All brushes are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between every client
Brushes are washed with professional brush cleansers and sanitized using alcohol-based solutions
Only clean, dry brushes are used for each appointment
No brush is ever reused between clients without full sanitation
No double-dipping under any circumstances
Cream and liquid products are decanted onto clean palettes using sanitized tools
Disposable applicators are used for:
Mascara
Lip products
Liquid eyeliner
Single-use tools are discarded immediately after use
Hands are sanitized before and throughout each service
Products are selected based on skin type, sensitivity, and conditions disclosed by the client
No makeup is applied to:
Open wounds
Active infections
Severe irritation
Contagious skin or eye conditions
Mendoza Makeup reserves the right to modify or refuse service if a condition presents a health risk
Professional-grade, skin-safe tapes and adhesives only
Tape is applied gently and removed with care to protect skin integrity
Clients with sensitivities, recent cosmetic procedures, or compromised skin must disclose this prior to service
Face tape is never used without client awareness and consent
Clients must provide a clean, well-lit, safe environment for services performed on location
Surfaces used for products and tools are sanitized before setup
Mendoza Makeup will not perform services in unsafe, unsanitary, or disruptive conditions
Services will not be performed if the artist is unwell or if client health could be compromised
Mendoza Makeup maintains professional liability standards and hygiene accountability
Safety protocols are updated as industry standards evolve
Clients are required to:
Arrive with clean skin free of active irritation unless otherwise discussed
Disclose allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, or recent treatments
Communicate discomfort immediately during service
Transparency protects everyone.
